This group of pages consists on:
- A brief introduction to fuel cells for those unfamiliar to the technology
- Description of the two PEMFC based systems that were built during the WorkingPEM-project
- A short overview of the principles of the control strategies implemented for them as a user applications based on NutDAC
The 8kW PEMFC power source and 16kW hybrid power source can be considered as technology evaluation platforms for investigating PEM fuel cells on system level from instrumentation and physical layout design to control and monitoring software development. Building and operating these systems has been a learning process for everyone involved in the project, and by sharing the user applications developed we wish to pass along this knowledge and provide a starting point for other groups and individuals interested in fuel cell control systems.
