Robot for shore area cleaning

(1994-1995)

A new type of robot for cleaning oil after accidents on the shore area is being studied. The robot is a mobile one combining a boat and legged locomotion system to make it capable to move near the the cost-line from water to land and vice versa. The power system is based on water hydraulics. The study includes conceptual design and simulations of the robot for possible later development project.
