Doctoral Candidate (Department of Automation and systems technology)

At the new University, there are 20,000 basic degree and post-graduate students as well as a staff of 5,000 of which 330 are professors.

The Control Engineering group is now looking for a research-oriented and motivated doctoral student for a temporary position (1-3 years). Energy Efficiency of Batteries is one of the main research application areas of the Control engineering group. Currently our research includes the development of monitoring and control methods. Main emphasis of the research is on the advanced modeling of the electrochemical processes in batteries. We expect some knowledge of PDEs (mathematics), electrochemical processes (physics or chemistry) and good Matlab skills, Comsol Multiphysics skills. High motivation to learn new methods and aspiration to maintain Ph.D. thesis in short (3 years) period are the most important qualities. We offer genuine stage by stage supervision of the doctoral thesis.
